Michelle Plett
Michelle paints from her studio in Saskatoon. She was born and raised in northern Saskatchewan as the daughter of an avid gardener. Her interest in botanical beauty was nurtured since she was a young girl and is reflected in her current art practice.
Formally educated in Psychology and Interior Design, she has pursued her creative interest in painting with encaustics (molten beeswax) through intensive encaustic workshops in Seattle, Sacramento and Minneapolis.
Since the first public release of her work in 2018, Michelle’s art has been well received, with collectors extending all across Canada and the United States.
Her hope is that her intrigue with botanicals and her passion for the process of painting with beeswax will bring to life for you some of what she cherishes about the beauty that surrounds us every day.
