Yanina Eberhard

Born in Argentina, Yanina Eberhard has lived in Canada for more than twenty years and currently works from her studio in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (Treaty 6 Territory and the Homeland of the Métis).
Her art is shaped by a life lived between worlds—rooted in her childhood in Argentina, shaped by a career in science, and transformed through immigration and personal reinvention. Nature has always been her anchor, both in moments of certainty and change. Her paintings reflect this connection, blending atmosphere, emotion, and memory to express how personal histories shape the way we experience the land.
Rooted in plein air practice and expanded in the studio, Eberhard’s mixed media paintings combine oil and cold wax to explore humanity’s relationship with nature—its fragility, repair, and resilience—through layered abstraction, texture, and light. Looking ahead, she hopes to push further into abstraction, offering viewers moments of stillness and reflection while sparking a deeper appreciation for the beauty and resilience of the natural world.
