Artist Dao Hai Phong, Vietnam
Born in 1965 in Hanoi, Dao Hai Phong is a contemporary Vietnamese painter celebrated for his colourful and sentimental landscapes of Hanoi and rural villages. In 1987 he graduated from the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema majoring in Cinematic Graphic Design. Pivoting, he began painting in the early 1990s, emerging as an independent professional artist and joining the Vietnam Fine Arts Association. Dao Hai Phong has showcased his work both domestically in Vietnam and internationally in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and the United States.
